Braveheart Fundraising Ride
Date: 25th October 2008
The annual Braveheart Cycling Fundraising Ride takes place on Saturday 25th October
The Braveheart Fund was launched in 2003 by former British champion, Motorola professional and Giro d'Italia survivor Brian Smith. Its aim is simple: to raise the funds to allow young Scottish cyclists, be they roadies, trackies or mountain bikers, to fulfil their potential.
Following on from the success of previous years, this years event looks like another joyful experience for all who attend, giving you the chance to ride with past and present starts.
Online entries will open soon for rider registration and anyone can take part! Even though 20 miles (or even 44 miles) might seem like a huge distance, it is not as difficult as it sounds!
Some people may want to try and complete the course as fast as possible but the majority take it at an easy pace and enjoy the beautiful scenery riding with friends.
Anyone can register and join in, children and adults would enjoy themselves. There are no limits - all it takes is a bit of enthusiasm and some preparation and you will enjoy a fantastic and rewarding experience.
