A NATIONAL CLARION CYCLING CLUB WAYMARKED EVENT OVER 64 KILOMETERS

national_clarion_logoStarting in Ramsbottom the course first ascends the Rake Famed for the Lancashire Road Club Hill Climbs Then heads northwards through Haslingden, Accrington Whalley, Clitheroe, Waddington Fell for the stunning scenery of the Forest of Bowland check at Slaidburn (40k) also feeding station. Flapjack, Energy Bar, Banana, Drink

Continues Southwards through Grindleton, Chatburn, Downham, For the Grandeur of Pendle Witch Country Barley and Newchurch to finish at the Clarion Clubhouse where a bowl of hot soup awaits for those who want it.
Hard Riders target not less than 2hours 15 minutes. Leisure Riders around 4 hours 30 minutes.

Certificates to all finishers registering at Slaidburn.

The course is short but it is demanding with the splendours of Lancashire Scenery along with the prettiest villages.
