Date: 18th April 2009

 

New event for 2009 organised by Hambleton Road Club and Le Cateau Primary School. The event comprises two challenging Cyclosportive rides offering a choice of either a 60 mile or 25 mile route in the Yorkshire Dales.

The Lower Yore Dale Challenge

This challenging ride is approximately 25 miles in length, passing through picturesque local villages that are situated in the foothills of the Yorkshire Dales. This is an undulating course on quiet country roads to be enjoyed by leisure cyclists.

The Buttertubs Challenge

This ride is for experienced cyclists only. This ride weaves its way through Swaledale, before climbing over the Buttertubs Pass. The ride then drops into Wensleydale, snaking its way back towards Catterick Garrison passing through the villages of Redmire and Askrigg. This ride offers some stunning scenery and passes over some challenging terrain. This ride is approximately 56 miles and will incorporate a feed station.
