Welcome to the first "MIDLAND MONSTER" starting and finishing just outside Burton-on-Trent at the very picturesque Rosliston Forestry Centre in the heart of the Midlands.

This is a sportive is bought to you by CC Giro using many of their well proven routes into the lower Peak District and as yet unused in any other UK sportive and solely based in the Midlands.

The 160km route offers a good test of early fitness with over 4000ft of varied climbing. 2 High5 fully supported feeds will keep every one well nourished and a welcome plate of hot food awaits all finishers.

For those wishing to try a sportive without the extra miles we are offering a 110km shorter ride with 1 High5 supported feed to keep everyone going. There is also a family ride of 25kms around the roads local to Rosliston Forestry Centre.

The CC Giro have engaged Wheels in Wheels CC to help organise the rides using their wealth of sportive expertise from organising events such as The Forest of Dean Classic and Ride the Route.

The 2 longer rides will offer optional timing, bike and rider numbers for identification and the event photographer.

The entry fee of 25GBP includes the after ride meal and a generous goody bag, plus a donation to the Geoff Thomas Foundation. Entries are restricted to 400 so early entry is advised.

We advise this event for training for the later continental etapes and recommend good base miles before entering the long route.
