Chanel Commuter Bike

£6000 to spare? Do the Coco motion
Just think what kind of bike you could get for £6000. Top end carbon-fibre-everything road bike, ultra bling full carbon, full suspension mountain bike, or a brace of very worthy bikes for every occasion or every member of your family. Or you could make the ultimate style statement (!) and go for the Chanel commuter bike.
Paris is currently head over heels in love with the bike, with the success of their new
free bike scheme hitting the headlines. And bang on cue, the iconic French design house more famous for fashion and fragrance, has created its very own commuter bike, complete with quilted leather chaincase with the famous double C logo embossed into it (would like to see that after a season of winter commutes).
To stop your designer togs getting all caught up, Chanel, with utility and practicality high on the agenda, have also launched bejewelled cycle clips to complete the look.

This isn’t fashion’s first flirtation with two wheels.
Paul Smith and Mercian teamed up early in the year with stunning results, (right) Armani have produced a range of bikes in conjunction with
Bianchi, not to forget
Rapha who have given cycle clothing and accessories a whole new retro-designer twist.
So if you’ve got £6000 or so burning a hole in your wallet, you’d better get your name on the waiting list…
