Looking to ditch the car and pedal off to a car free nirvana? For 580 quid, you could get yourself the Kona Ute, a proper two-wheeled pickup truck that'll carry all manner of huge loads. With a heavy duty aluminium frame, robust components and an elongated rear triangle, the Ute can carry four, yes count em, four panniers plus a whole shed load of stuff on its heavy duty integrated rack. There's even bungee securing widgets on the rear frame to strap that load down tight.

It joins Surly's Big Dummy (above, launching Feb 2008) which is based on the  bolt-on Xtracycle Free Radical kit (below), which converts any old 26 inch MTB into a proper load lugger.
