The South Downs Way continues to hold a fascination for bikers. At a neat 100 miles in length, and featuring a series of big, landmark climbs, it's a natural enduro course, and seems to be on most MTBers 'to do' list.
Trail Break have two opportunities for you to take on this legendary trail this September. First is their classic Lemming Trail on Sept 6-7th. Now in it's 13th year, this event lets you ride the SDW over two days with full support, including route signing, support stations, luggage transport, choice of hostel* or camping at Truleigh Hill YHA (Sat night), evening meal & Sunday breakfast and (optional) day two lunch and return transport. It's a fantastic biking weekend and a great and social way to take on this iconic challenge.
But if riding the South Downs Way is not challenge enough in itself, how about trying it at night? MaXx Exposure on Sept. 27th is a full overnight adventure, pitting you against 80 miles of the South Downs Way between sunset and sunrise. It sounds crazy, but it works. Supported by Exposure Lights and the South Downs finest bike shops, MaXx Exposure features support stations on route, special hi-viz night signage, transport options, camping space at the finish and a finishers breakfast to remember!
It's a unique event with an amazing atmosphere. Trail Break bill it as the 'Night Ride of your Life' and it might be just that!
