Sherwood Pines

 

Summary: Sherwood Pines Forest Park is the largest (and definitely the most famous) woodland open to the public in the East Midlands. The forest is a real haven for the family and mountain biker with 3.5 and 7.5mile marked trails plus 40 miles of various forest trails and pathways including specially designed mountain bike and BMX areas.

Essential Information: Sherwood Pines is located off the B6030 between Old Clipstone and Ollerton. The forest park is open all year round, but check website for advance warning of trail closures due to competitive cycle events. The forest boasts a full range of amenities including the Sherwood Pines Cycle Centre, visitor centre café, toilets, disabled access and forest shop.

 

Other Attractions: Bloomsgorse Trekking Centre, Go-Ape! High Wire Adventure Course.
