Create a Buzz around your Event - Create a Group
Everyday Cycling Community has some great new features that will help you create a vibrant online community around your event. The new Groups feature allows you or any site user to create a discussion and blogging group specifically for your event.
The group will allow site users to log in and:
- Leading up to the event - discuss kit, gearing, training, tactics, the route, etc
- After the event - post blogs, share their experiences, keep in touch with fellow riders and more - including posting pictures and youtube video
Even if your event has it's own website, setting up an Everyday Cycling group will add a whole new dimension to your event's online presence. Setting up a group is quick and easy and requires minimal time and effort.
To set up a group for your event:
- Log in to Everyday Cycling
- Click the My Groups tab on the left
- Click Create Group
- Add your profile text and an image
- Ensure that your group is set to Public to ensure maximum exposure on the site. You can control who joins the group as the group owner.
- Invite participants via email using the Invite friends option - you can send to large numbers of email addresses and add a custom message.
- You can also send the web address (URL) for your group to your event participants by copying and pasting it into any email communications.
Note: your participants will need to register with Everyday Cycling to join the group - registration is free, quick and easy.
