This route is well placed for nearby attractions so it is easy to make a day of it with a visit to Hartlepool Maritime Experience, which includes the magnificent HMS Trincomalee

Kielder Forest Border Railway Trail
Kielder Forest is the largest forest in Britain and surrounds Kielder Water the largest man-made lake in Europe with a whopping 27 miles of shoreline

Newcastle-Gateshead-Wylam Loop
Ideal for families with scenery changes from cityscape to countryside. You will see some gret river views and some spectacular urban backdrops

Middleton One Row
This route offers some great views of the mighty River Tees as well as the opportunity to visit the picturesque town of Yarm and the surrounding villages of Longnewton and Egglescliffe

Northumberland - Coast and Countryside
This loop takes in some of Northumberland's best coast and countryside, offering some excellent opportunites to enjoy great pub food and pick up some superb local produce

Great North Forest Ride
A fantastic urban escape on railway paths and bridleways, a stones throw from Gateshead.

South Tyne to Lambley Viaduct
A great route that follows the former Haltwhistle to Alston railway line, passing the old station houses, platforms tunnels and bridges including the impressive 110 feet Lambley Viaduct
